WARNING: The Seattle area has many hills and the HDTV signal is different than the old style analog signal. It requires a direct line of sight. This means that if you live in an area that has a hill or land mass between your house and the Queen Anne and Capital hill transmitting antennas you may not be able to receive the necessary signal.
Satellite Connection has been installing HDTV antennas in the greater Seattle area for the past two years. We have experimented with every brand and type of antenna. And we have found that some work much better than others AND SOME DO NOT WORK AT ALL. You may have already tried to set up a local antenna and found that it did not work quite as well as you would like.
Did you know that 20% of residents in Seattle area cannot get any measurable signal from the TV transmitters and another 10% to 20% will only be able to get some of the channels that are broadcast in local HDTV. Wouldn't it be nice to know if you can receive an HDTV signal BEFORE you go invest in all the equipment for off-air HDTV (decoders can add as much as $1000.00 to the cost of the TV)?
Satellite Connection can test the digital signal strength at your location so that you know what FREE HDTV channels you'll be able to receive off-air!!! And if you want to proceed with an HDTV antenna installation we'll take care of that for you too!!!
And please note that we try to put most HDTV antennas in the attic -- keeps them dry and out of the wind. However, not all locations have a strong enough signal to do an attic install. In these cases we try to locate them in an area that will be as cosmetically appealing as possible.

Seattle local television stations broadcast in HDTV over the air for FREE!!! But you will need an off-air UHF antenna to pick up this signal!
